Chrome Apps

Since I will be a social studies teacher, I picked two apps that pertained to my content areas, those being Simple States and World War II Facts. Simple States is a fun way for students of any age to learn about the states, it as questions based on the difficulty picked and has the student pick which state corresponds with the question. World War II facts is a fun app that has some really good information and a couple of quizzes to see what students know, or have learned about World War II. The third app that I chose I feel could be valuable in any class, is called Pearson OpenClass. This app would be used with older students (Junior's and Senior's) and I think it would be a good tool to help them keep organized. The video below gives a short description of what openclass is.

This video could be used on around Martin Luther King Jr. day to remind students how far our nation has come in the last seventy years
I thought this song could be used as a mnemonic device that will help students remember that capitals and states.
